Damon Galose

Compliance Director

Damon brings over ten years of experience in political compliance, campaign organization, and government affairs.  An Ohio native, Damon first caught the political bug after his middle school history class studied the 1988 presidential campaign.  That experience sparked his interest in politics, which he would pursue as a hobby, then academically, and ultimately professionally.

Damon studied political science at Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina.  After graduating college, he accepted a position with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) as a campaign finance analyst.  While at the FEC, Damon learned first-hand the complexities of campaign finance law, best practices in reporting, and the importance of internal controls in campaigns.  Several years later, Damon accepted a position as the Deputy Compliance Manager for the Bush-Cheney ’04 reelection campaign.

After the campaign, Damon was offered a position on the 55th Presidential Inaugural Committee.  Following the Inauguration, Damon served in the Bush administration at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in the agency budget office.  Damon’s team was awarded the prestigious “Manage-to-Budget” initiative, which was implemented at USAID headquarters and every embassy.  The project focused on the importance of each division and embassy better managing their appropriated funds.  While at USAID, Damon pursued graduate studies at Georgetown University and graduated with a Master’s Degree from the McDonough School of Business in 2006.

In his spare time, Damon enjoys traveling the world, playing golf, and walking his loyal dog Truman.  He is also interested in aviation and Canadian politics.  Damon lives in Carrollton, Texas with his wife Lindsay Hedrick, an attorney in Dallas.   They are members of the First United Methodist Church in Carrollton.

Damon was heralded as a member of "those pesky nerds at the FEC" by the Tuscon Weekly for his work in identifying problems in the FEC report filed by then Congressman-elect Raul Grijalva.
